1/2cupwhite granulated sugar
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
1 teaspooncinnamon
1loafTexas Toast
butter
powdered sugar, syrup for topping, optional
Instructions
Whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Pour into a shallow dish that is large enough to fit the bread slices.
Heat griddle to 350 degrees or frying pan on medium high heat. Melt about 2 Tablespoons of butter in the griddle or frying pan. Use a spatula to evenly melt the butter by smearing it around the griddle or frying pan.
Add a slice of Texas Toast to the batter and let it soak on each side for about 8-10 seconds.
Place the toast on a hot griddle or frying pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until it is golden brown. Serve immediately or place in oven to keep warm.
