Grease a 9x13 pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream the butter, salt, and sugar until fluffy.
Add in vanilla, almond extract, and eggs and mix until combined.
Gradually add in flour and mix well.
Spread thin layer, about 1/4", into greased pan, reserving rest of batter for topping.
Top evenly with pie filling.
Drop spoonfuls of remaining batter over filling.
Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely
