Have you ever wanted to make ice cream, but don't have an ice cream maker?  This recipe for Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag is perfect for you!

  • Add the ice and kosher salt to the gallon ziploc bag and set aside.
  • Pour the whole milk, whipping cream, vanilla, and sugar in the quart ziploc bag and seal well. You can add duct tape for reinforcement if you choose.
  • Place the quart ziploc bag in the gallon ziploc bag and seal well. You can wrap this in a towel to protect little hands from the cold.
  • Now shake, shake, shake for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the gallon bag and cut top off and enjoy right out of the bag or scoop it into your favorite bowl and add your favorite toppings.
